The Amateur's Kitchen - Bacon Bolognese

Project: Eat

My office mate had me cornered on a pasta promise I have not fulfilled this morning due to girl cramp issues. Nevertheless, I rushed on going home by lunch to cook for her and thought of bacon on my way home. Took on the apron again for the weekend! (not literally, lol!)

Bacon Bolognese

Linguine
Bacon strips cut into squares
Ground pork
Minced Onion
Minced Garlic
Chopped Red bell pepper
Chopped Carrot
Oregano leaves cut into thin strips
Tomato sauce
Pork broth
Salt n' Pepper
Full cream milk
Cream Cheese
Cornstarch dissolved in water

Cook pasta according to package directions. On a pan, cook bacon 'til crisp. Add ground pork 'til cooked. Saute onion, garlic, bell pepper, carrot and oregano leaves on meat drippings. Add tomato sauce and broth and simmer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. On another saucepan, scald milk, cream cheese and cornstarch, stirring constantly until desired thickness. Arrange pasta on plate and top with layers of the sauces.
