The Amateur's Kitchen - Spanish-Style Sardines in Linguine with Lemon Butter Sauce

Rain's still nonstop and I have to go overtime. These are the days when you don't want to go out soaking wet and stay in the comforts of home. Not for me though, so I cooked up for lunch to bring in the office and thought of another pasta dish.


Spanish-Style Sardines in Linguine with Lemon Butter Sauce


Linguine
Salted Butter
1 bulb onion, chopped
half a small bulb of garlic, chopped
chopped parsley
1 can Spanish-style Sardines in oil, flaked (save oil)
Garlic Powder
Salt n' Pepper
the juice of half a lemon


Cook pasta according to package directions. Heat oil from sardines, add butter. Saute in onions, garlic and parsley. Add in flaked sardines. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss in cooked pasta. Sprinkle with lemon juice and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
