Kimmy's first time food-binging and the College conversation

" A sister can be seen as someone who is both ourselves and very much not ourselves - a special kind of double."
           ~ Toni Morrison

Typhoon Mina's up in La Union at Signal # 1, but the binger ain't stopping herself for food trips. This time the li'l sis came along as she sweetly mooched (with puss-in-boots eyes) on dining in at this newly-opened Pancake House franchise just around the corner. Can't help 'em puss-in-boots eyes, aww.

    Clockwise from top left:
  • Maple Chicken and Crispy Waffle - a plate of maple-glazed chicken, caesar salad with potato croutons and crispy waffle served with a dollop of creamy butter and maple syrup. YUM!
  • Carbonara - a classic. Linguine tossed on creamy white sauce, bacon bits and mushrooms
  • Orange Freeze and Grape Shake
  • Frozen yogurt topped with Honey Almond Cereals and Butterscotch Syrup, and Chocolate Syrup and Candy Sprinkles

She's good at food criticism 'ey! I gave her a taste of my Maple Chicken and she said, "Siguro may orange na nilagay dito." "Bakit mo naman nasabi?" I said. She answered, "May nalalasahan akong orange e. Maasim na matamis, parang Orange Chicken ng Chowking." True enough, I gave mine another taste. "You're good ha!" I applauded.

Along with the binging was this conversation about her College future after her upcoming high school graduation this 2012. She said she didn't want Accountancy, so I advised her to get a course where she's good at. She said she's confident with Math. Engineering's one of her options. I said she try studying in Baguio. And then her Math teacher came in at the resto. Lol.

Ah, Kimmy, we should do this more often!
